Staying with a dog
Dogs are warmly welcome here — we have some ourselves. So that two-legged and four-legged guests alike feel at home, we've put together a few simple requests.
Ideal for dog people
Neighbouring field paths lead straight into the Segeberger Forst. The fenced dog run at Bockhorn is only five minutes away by car, and there are three fenced runs in our area altogether.
The three venues of the Canis Akademie — Hundeleben, Tannenhof Schönmoor and Eekholt — are each ten to fifteen minutes away by car. Many of the academy's students are regulars with us.
Our requests for your stay
We're delighted to welcome every dog. To keep it that way, we ask the following of you:
Your own blankets for bed and sofa
If your dog likes to join you in bed or on the sofa, please bring your own bedding, including a sheet. Dog hair is very hard to get out of our white linen and the armchair covers again — we hope you'll understand.
We're happy to lend you bowls
Forgotten the bowl? Just ask — we have some and are happy to lend them. Please don't use the kitchen crockery for this.
Towels for paws — we lend those too
For wet paws and a good rub-down we keep coloured and dark towels ready. Just ask us, and the white bath towels can stay where they are.
Strong-smelling treats outside, please
Bully sticks, dried lung and the like smell intense and leave marks on runners and carpets. Please feed these outdoors. Strong-smelling dog blankets are also better left in the car.
If the dog causes cleaning costs beyond normal use, we will charge for these separately. It rarely happens — and the points above make it easy to avoid.
The charge for dogs is €10 per night. Please mention your dog when you enquire so that we can plan the right accommodation for you.
